From Captain Barnacle Bill:

"I was born and raised in the same house that my Dad was born and raised in on the Island. I have been on the wild pony round up with my horse.  I have been a commercial waterman for many years and have years of marine experience.  I love these waters and its wildlife and would like for you to experience my knowledge and love of my Island home.  I have a 100 Ton Master's License issued by the U.S. Coast Guard."

**The Spring Roundup in this video is only an event that happens once a year.

However, you may still see many wild ponies on your boat tour.

About Your Tour:

"On Chincoteague Island, you will experience a slow, relaxed way of life.  We call it, "Island Time", with the friendliest people on Earth.

If you or any of your family have ever read the famous books Misty of Chincoteague, Stormy, or Sea Star, then you owe it to yourself to see and experience, first-hand, with the advantage of a boat, their family background of wild ponies grazing on salt marsh grass, with baby colts running through the waters being watched over by the family of females, with one ruing stallion per herd.  Then when someone asks if you have ever read the books, you can say that you also experienced being there and seeing the famous wild ponies in person on an amazing boat tour. "

Thank you,

Barnacle Bill
